What you mentioned was ‘mapping to a cc number’, ‘editing the NK to certain cc numbers’ from the editor and testing it on standalone softsynths. Wiggle a faded or knob on the NK, exit mapping mode and that parameter should now be controlled on the screen.

Ideally, you’d have the nanokontrol connected and turn on midi mapping in Live. You are mentioning a few different things at once without any direct correlation to midi mapping.
