There are a few things for me to help you with and clear up some roadblocks.įirst. As for now I disabled all the Knobs to prevent this, but I would really enjoy to be able to use them properly. This is kind of annoying, because if I accidentally touch a Knob it changes the Track panning. Even though I use the NanoKontrol in MIDI-mode, the Knobs control the Track panning (as when the controller is in DAW-mode) and don't send the MIDI CC messages they are supposed to. When I use the NanoKontrol inside Live, the assignment of the Knobs "get lost".
When I start Kontakt in standalone mode, everything works just fine the faders control Expression, Dynamics and Vibrato, and the Knob scrolls through the different articulations. I would like to use the Knob to change the articulations in Kontakt. Basically I use the Faders to control Expression, Dynamics and Vibrato. Many of these things require different kinds of troubleshooting.Ī little more detail and we could hopefully help make it work how you’re expecting.Īs depicted in the screenshot of the Korg Kontrol Editor (link below), I have assigned some MIDI CC numbers to some Knobs and Faders (CC# 1,2 and 3 for the Faders and CC#16 for the Knob). You might be intending to use it not mapped in Live but midi learned within a vst instead of in Live.
You might have expected behavior that might not work without some tricks.
You haven’t exactly explained what kind of specific behavior you’re looking for ‘what you’re trying to control’ or if you have already used it in the past with Live with other control schemes (for example, if you’ve used any Control Surface downloadable files), or what your setup is on the midi preferences in Live.įor all I know, you might have other devices connected and mapped. What you mentioned was ‘mapping to a cc number’, ‘editing the NK to certain cc numbers’ from the editor and testing it on standalone softsynths. Wiggle a faded or knob on the NK, exit mapping mode and that parameter should now be controlled on the screen.
Ideally, you’d have the nanokontrol connected and turn on midi mapping in Live. You are mentioning a few different things at once without any direct correlation to midi mapping.
